This week Chuck and Stacey welcome Christian Lanz, bilingual voice actor in promos, commercials, animation and video games who explains the influence the Hispanic population has on the entertainment industry at large. Born in Mexico City, Christian talks about the way television helped him learn English as a child and the fearless life choice he would make in order to pursue an acting career in Hollywood.

Christian shares the challenges he overcame while starting out which included living in his car, working as an extra and how his first opportunity to work in voiceover changed his life. He talks about why his favorite career moment to date is working with animation icon, Frank Welker, the voice of Fred on Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated.

He offers his approach for delivery of copy with “non-announcer, conversational” specs and the major differences he finds between the General and Hispanic markets. Christian gives sage advice about being truthful as a voice actor and showing confidence.
