Townsend shares what makes up his humble home studio setup that includes an awesome Sennheiser 416 microphone. He reflects about the projects he has done to date that he’s really proud of, what he feels are his strengths as a voice talent and some current projects he has going on. Townsend offers some great advice to anyone wanting to work in promos complete with what important steps to take and ways to develop your skills.

He gives advice to his 20 year-old self that is very inspiring and his positive attitude and approach to life is infectious including what he feels are the keys to his success.

He talks about his involvement with the Don LaFontaine Voice Over Lab and remembers some personal experiences he had with Don. Townsend discusses charity work he does for the Primetime Voices for Children organized by Joe and Ann Cipriano. The episode closes with what Townsend still hopes to accomplish personally and professionally and answers the IF question that takes him back to high school.
